Flagship Marine picked an excellent time to take on the Grand Soleil range, a premium brand from Italy offering luxury sailing yachts to New Zealanders.
The Grand Soleil 46 Long Cruise debut at the Auckland Boat Show in September and was also nominated as European Yacht of the Year in the Luxury Cruising category for 2016.
The honourable designation is considered a top indicator for performing production boats. It’s the European marine industries so called “Oscars for Water Sports”… the ultimate best of the best.
The final winners will be announced in January 2016 after thorough research and testing is done on each nominated boat.
An extensive review process sets the award apart from others around the world. The assessment comprises 11 different magazines from 11 European countries testing 25 boats in five different categories on two different seas.
This “Long Cruise” designation makes the 46 LC the first true Bluewater sailboat in the Grand Soleil range specifically geared toward long term cruising and liveability.
Formerly R Marine JDC New Zealand, Flagship Marine launched Flagship Grand Soleil as the exclusive New Zealand agent for the Grand Soleil and Sly Yachts imported from Italian boatyard Cantiere del Pardo.
